The Beginner Tai Chi for Balance class is a strength development exercise class that uses Tai Chi principles to help people with limited mobility improve their balance and mobility. Register for this class if you are joining us in person.
The Beginner Tai Chi for Balance class is based on a program designed by Shifu Shirley Chock helping people with severe limited mobility regain their strength and balance after injury or surgeries. In this clinic, we will use mindful walking techniques that will help strengthen the feet, toes, glutes and core, while learning to become more aware of how our bodies transfer weight. Completion of the Beginner Tai Chi for Balance program will enable students to move into our Tai Chi for Beginners class without fear of losing balance.
